Nick’s been hanging out on Seemic with me now and then, and he makes a cameo in the latest SeeSmiX daily highlight reel (at around the 3:25 mark.)
So neglectful of my blog
Hello blog friends. I’ve been horribly neglectful of you in the past month, despite NaBloPoMo. I was too distracted by my new toy Seesmic, Thanksgiving, then Andy’s little medical thang. Also I’ve got two clients at the moment which have been keeping busy. Yay!
But, my dear blog friends, I’ve been thinking about plenty of things to write about. Of course, I forget most of them now. I should probably take more advantage of Utterz and just call in when I have a thought. It’s a great little tool for audio blogging, couldn’t be more simple.
I’ll try to post a bit more often, even if just short messages. I want to do a year end round up, because 2007 was a year of lots of change for me, internal and external. Also maybe a look ahead at what may be to come and what I hope to do in 2008. And a few other things.
Until then…
Thanksgiving
We spent Thanksgiving with my in-laws. I brought the camera and despite no flash, bad lighting, and a wobbly hand I threw together a video.

We had a great time, very relaxed and laid back. I love spending time with these kids, mostly teens now. Maybe later I’ll put together a compilation from the Wii tournament, although that was really dark. Christmas Eve I’m bringing the good camera!
Every direction leads me away…
I know I’m not very good at ‘being friends.” I never really learned how.
I’ve lost touch with people I’ve cared about over the years because I didn’t have the skills, or maybe, more honestly, the patience and intent necessary to be a good friend. I was always so sure it didn’t matter, they wouldn’t miss me anyway.
I know now that I was wrong. Just like I’ve missed them, at least some of them have missed me, too. I also know I’ve made people feel that it was their fault our friendship failed.
I’m sorry for that. It wasn’t.
I can’t go back and redo things, chase down old friends. I also can’t really change who I am. I’m not really sure how to be the kind of friend it seems that most people need.
Or maybe I’m wrong, maybe most of us are happy with a comfortable, low maintenance friendship. Where we can pick up years later as if we just saw each other yesterday. I don’t know…
To all my friends, past, present, & future you’ll always be in my heart.

Seesmic does a daily highlights reel. This the latest
. (I should fix my hair, huh?)
Corn Pudding
Earlier today I did a video on Seesmic and mentioned I’d be making corn pudding for Thanksgiving.
I decided to go ahead and post the recipe here, along with a little video of how I made it.
Corn Pudding (recipe from somewhere on the Internet years ago!)
1 (15.25 oz) can whole kernel corn, drained
1 (15 oz) can cream style corn
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sour cream
1 (8.5 oz) package dry cornbread mix
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 2 quart casserole dish.
In a medium bowl mix together the whole kernel corn, cream style corn, butter, sour cream, and cornbread mix (yes, that’s everything.)
Pour into the prepared casserole dish.
Bake for 45 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
So there you have it. This is one of my favorite recipes, which says a lot about my level of cooking expertise. Enjoy!
First Snow
I took a little video this morning, of our first snow of the season. It didn’t stick where we are like it did up by the high school, but it was pretty with the autumn colors.
