I began this blog in March 2007. Prior to that I was at What Struck Me since August 2003, so I’ve been officially blogging for nearly seven years (before that I had a personal site for 8 years but it wasn’t a “blog.”)
In the past couple of years my posts have slowed to a tiny trickle. I feed photos that I send to Posterous in here but it’s become more of a storage facility than a blog, so I’ve decided it’s time to close this door and move on. I’ll continue as I have, posting photos (and occasional words) through Posterous, and of course I remain active in Twitter (and Facebook, although that’s a more closed space for me.) I’ll experiment more with Google Buzz, and hopefully I’ll have that new camera soon, so keep an eye on my Flickr stream.
It’s not a big change, but it feels like one. It may seem silly but closing this blog actually lifts a weight off my shoulders. I don’t feel obligated to “blog” anymore. I share content where and when it seems to be most appropriate (and honestly, that’s rarely here.) I also lose the conflict of having both a personal and a business blog- expect to see some changes at the Pixel Currents site over the summer.
Thanks to all my readers, especially those of you who subscribe. See you around the interwebs!
