We finally took the bunk beds out of Tim’s room. We bought them shortly after moving into this house for Andy & Nick, then Nick and Tim, then finally Tim alone. In recent years the top bunk served only as storage for dirty laundry and as a launching pad for leaps to the floor.
It also made an already dark room (north corner of the house) that much darker.

We went to Ikea and bought a loft bed to replace the bunks. Pics to come later when we get his desk and everything set up- but the room is much better for a 12 year old now!
