Some of you may know I’m a big Walt Disney World geek. I’ve been distracted by other thing lately but WDW remains one of my favorite places on earth, and it’s the connection I have with a number of you reading this.
Today I discovered a site that mashes together my love of WDW with my love of geeky toys like Twitter. It’s called Twisney, and it allows you to post real-time updates & photos from the parks and resorts to a map, to Twitter, and to a Flickr stream.
You simply send an email or SMS message to twisney@twisney.com, or begin a tweet on Twitter with @twisney. If you attach a photo to the SMS or email it will post automatically, and if you include your location at the start of your message it will place you on the map of WDW on the website. The location names are intuitive- if you’re having a mango margarita at San Angel Inn restaurant in the Mexican Pavilion at EPCOT you can start your message with mexico restaurant, san angel, or San Angel Inn and it will place your update appropriately. Even if it’s just a fantasy post.
All the more reason to plan another trip!
