If you did it all the time (taking "me" time), it might be selfish, but an occasional "time out" for yourself is really nurturing. I kwym about not really having any time for yourself. Lately I can't even stay home long enough to clean the house. For example, just today I cancelled a massage so I could clean, only to get a phone call from the neurologist Morgan had an appt. with to tell me they could get her in today. So instead of doing what I had planned, we quickly made a trip to the doctors!
So, take some "me" time...heaven knows I need some too!

Taking time by yourself is a good thing, and not necessarily a selfish thing. If taking that time gives you a chance to refresh and recharge yourself, and remind yourself of what you are capable of it benefits everyone.

Great idea to take time for yourself. I've done that a couple of times; one time I even spent the night away by myself. What I did was get away from my computer, my job and my family. I took time to really walk through my favorite museum, sit idly in the park and listen to the birds and the breeze, and eat somewhere my family wouldn't normally go.

So yeah, take a day!

It makes sense.

IMHO, it's not rude if it has the desired affect.

I might not suggest a trip somewhere to learn about how Macromey and the Bee Gees changed the 80's, but you know, a solid quest for something actually needed to advance ones self(image, esteem, or knowledge) could be a damn good thing!

Texas is nice this time of year... need any knowledge about microbrews? lol
