What? We didn’t get to see the sandwich? On second thought, that’s probably ok, as I would have had the pastrami jones really bad afterward. And I’m a looong way from NYC.
I’m going to check out Carnagie’s next time I’m in the city, though.

I know, I’m lame. I didn’t think to get a shot of the sandwich till it was gone. It wouldn’t have been a good shot anyway, it was dark in there. Even a photo would’ve been iffy, my flash is busted. Trust me, it was all you would expect and more!

Who needs NYC? Next time just go to Hobby’s Deli in Newark. Yum!!!!! But skip the pastrami and get the Sloppy Joe. I don’t know how to do a link in HTML, so just go to http://www.hobbysdeli.com/

Oops, checked the menu and I no longer see a Sloppy Joe. Must now be the triple meat with coleslaw and Russian dressing. Trust me–you can’t get that in Kentucky. I think they still think Russian dressing is part of a Communist plot.

How fun is that to just “go to NYC” for a bday sandwich!? I can’t even get the hubby to take me to Denver for my bday…it’s not that far away!
Pat’s birthday sandwich
Yesterday was Pat’s birthday, and all he wanted was a pastrami on rye from Carnegie Deli in New York.
