Today is Blog Day!
The site suggests that we find 5 blogs we enjoy that are different from our own culture and link to them.
Instead I’d like to link to some blogs I read regularly that are specialized little treats. Not really personal blogs, not focused on business. just fun reads.
Ironic Sans. A very creative guy tosses his ideas out there for your amusement and enjoyment. An excellent recent example? Breed a “Mickey” Mouse.
Minus by Ryan Armand. A hand-drawn and water-colored then scanned weekly comic about a little girl with amazing powers. It’s often wordless and sweet, and at times a little terrifying.
Passive-Aggressive Notes. Just what the title says. Readers send in scans and photos of passive-aggressive notes they’ve found, received, or sometimes even written.
Post Secret This one has almost classic status if there is such a thing. Readers send in homemade postcards on which they reveal their deepest secrets. Some are sweet, some are funny, some are frightening. A new batch is posted each Sunday.
Thursday is Bazaar Day. Blogger Melissa Maples is an American living in Turkey. Each Thursday she and her trusty camera head to the local bazaar and the resulting photos are funny, and, well, bizarre! Her amusing captions add to the fun.
All five of these are low volume (some post once a week- or less) and a fun way to escape for a few minutes. Any similar blogs you can recommend? Post in the comments!
