I had it going for awhile streaming the Live Earth feeds today. It’s been groaning for awhile but this was an awful grinding I’ve never heard before.
Luckily I’m nearly done moving files to my new MacBook.

Glad you’re already on top of it with the Mac! Which reminds me that I finally got my external hard-drive working, but still haven’t backed up my pc…
Sounds like one or more of the fans have gone south. Overheating and motherboard failure are usually soon to follow.
You’re right, it sounds terrible (and I heard a hint of Jersery accent in that word!). Glad you have the Mac already taking it’s place! Do you like the Mac?
