So that’s it. Tony looks up from the onion rings to see… WHAT?? WHAT??
Sigh.
The way the show ended I guess we can fool ourselves into believing there will be a movie or even one more season down the road, but I doubt it. Gandolfini is done. Chase is done. It’s done.
I thought it was a good episode. Do we really need closure? It fits that the story goes on, we’re just not watching it anymore. Love the way the tension built up with alll the little touches toward the end: The lawyer looking up to check the surveillance screen. Paulie almost deciding not to accept his promotion. All the cutaways to thug-types in the diner. Meadow trying to parallel park then dashing into the diner!
It’s been a fun run, and I’ll miss it.

Ok Banannie here’s my take on the Soprano’s ending.
The last view of Tony was actually through his kid’s eyes. The view went black because the kid had a seizure from eating too many trans-fat containing onion rings OR he got whacked. I’ll go with whacked. But only wounded.
Talk amongst yerselves.
