I think too often people over think the whole social media thing. While i do think tools like Twitter have value beyond just "fun", isn't that part of what the "social" in social media is all about? Intent on violating the LOL at the office rule by comments and photos. It's a good day when you open up that browser window and sit at your computer giggling at the silliness of this group. I have always thought of Twitter as a running cocktail party where you bounce back and forth between people and conversations.
